The Easter Eggers

The Scarlet Pimpernel, aka Percy: After months of name purgitory, I was finally christened The Scarlet Pimpernel, otherwise known as Percy on a daily basis. My name comes from the play The Scarlet Pimpernel by Baroness Emmuska Orczy. I always knew I was a dashing hero!

Lolita: I’m named after Dolores Haze, famously known as Lolita, from the novel Lolita by Vladimir Nabokov. Mother chose this name for me, not because I’m “sexually precocious,” but because the name is pretty and the Big Boys really love me…

Elphaba: My name comes from one of Mother’s favorite books, Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West by Gregory Maguire. Elphaba is the name of the green girl who grows up to be known as the Wicked Witch, but she is really just misunderstood. I lay green eggs, which people don’t understand, so it’s a fitting name!
