The Silkies

Hansel

Hansel: I am the Library’s little clown. And the resident loudmouth. I am always ready for a cuddle and a treat. Mother says I have the cutest, fluffy rear end! My name comes from the Brother’s Grimm fairy tale, Hansel and Gretel.

Goldilocks

Goldilocks: With my beautiful golden poof of hair, I could have no other name than Goldilocks, from the nursery tale Goldilocks and the Three Bears. I would never steal anyone’s porridge, though!

Belle

Belle: My name comes from the French fairytale Beauty and the Beast, first published by Gabrielle-Suzanne Barbot de Villeneuve, about a beautiful girl who is pure of heart.

Cinderella

Cinderella: My name comes from Charles Perrault’s famous story Cinderella; or, The Little Glass Slipper. Lucky for me, my sisters are wonderful instead of evil!
